TEC BASICS COURSE
for divers seeking training in back-mounted doubles
The Tec Basics and Tec Sidemount diver courses are the first step towards becoming a technical diver and a pre-requisite for any technical diving student that is not familiar with technical diving equipment, be it in sidemount or back-mounted doubles.
Our team at XTC Tec Diving has a wealth of experience diving both configurations and we can perfectly cater to either preference and accommodate almost any diving style. For training in Sidemount, please refer to our Tec Sidemount Diver section.
The Tec Basics course introduces a recreational diver in the setup and use of back-mounted technical diving equipment including the use of stage / decompression cylinders, emergency drills, proper deployment of DSMBs and at the same time allows for fine-tuning of buoyancy and propulsion techniques required to move efficiently through the water as well as maintain precise decompression stops. Upon completion of this course, you will be fully prepared to enter formal technical diver training.
