Tec Trimix Diver

This course will challenge you and teach you to build your experience to a maximum depth of 90m/300ft.


You will already be a competent and experienced Tec diver who wants to extend their personal depth limits and is ready to go deeper and to sites that few people will ever explore. The Tec Trimix Diver course will challenge you and teach you to build your experience to a maximum depth of 90m/300ft.


To enroll on a PADI Trimix Diver course, you must:

Be certified as a PADI Tec 50 or PADI Tec Trimix 65 Diver (or equivalent)
Be over 18 years old
Have a minimum of 150 logged scuba dives
Have been medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 months

Materials Required

You’ll need to have the Tec Trimix Diver Crew-Pak which includes a manual, stop calculation table and emergency procedures slate.

Equipment Required

You’ll need full technical equipment plus two stage/decompression cylinders.

You may also use a technical sidemount set-up if you are already qualified to use sidemount configuration.

All required equipment is available at a very reasonable price for you to rent for the duration of your course.

What's Involved in the Course?

The Tec Trimix Diver course emphasizes mission application:

Gas selection options, especially deco gases
Bubble models and deep stops
Using multigas trimix computers
Handling up to four stage/deco cylinders

During the course, you will:

Plan and execute at least three simulated and five actual trimix decompression dives using various gas blends
Use decompression software to create custom dive tables and dive plans
Make training dives as deep as 90m/300ft

Tec diving has additional inherent risks (when compared to recreational diving) and we want to minimize these additional risks as much as possible. This means is that our training is performance-based, not time-based, so course prices are based on daily rates and your Instructor will discuss with you if additional training days are required.
